Natural Pet Remedies
For most pets, there are five areas of health problems – Allergies, Joint Problems, Fleas & Ticks, Emotional Problems and Oral/Ear problems. Here are some natural pet remedies you might want to consider.
Remedies for Allergies
Food allergies are pretty common in pets – especially among puppies and cats. Puppies and dogs suffering allergic reactions might develop diarrhea and/or severe itching all over the body.
It is usually tough to diagnose food allergies and might involve extensive dietary changes to identify which foods the pet is allergic to. If you have identified the troublemaking food – consider the solution half done! Then just keep your pet away from the food that is causing the problems.
Remedies for Joint Problems
Like most humans, pets go through cartilage breakdown in the joint areas of their body. Most pets suffering joint problems try to avoid climbing stairs and struggle while getting up from laying positions.
Some pet owners found positive results by using supplements with natural steroids – since this keeps the joints strong and muscular. Other natural ingredients are also used for fighting these problems. But consider consulting a veterinarian before using them.
Remedies for fleas & ticks
Consider using remedies that have cedar oil along with rosemary for killing ticks or fleas. You can also buy all-natural sprays that prevent their skin from drying out, while preventing skin irritation/itching that happens because of ticks & fleas.
Natural remedy products are very appropriate for pets that have sensitive skin, and are allergic to chemical products that irritate their skin. But consult about the usage pattern while treating pregnant pets.
Some pet owners have found positive results by preparing and using special remedies by mixing up the following ingredients-
- Fennel,
- Rosemary
- Wormwood,
- Yellow dock and
- Rue
This mixture has to be applied by sprinkling on the affected area of the pet.
